Job summary

Gartner, Inc. seeks a Director of UX to lead a growing UX team while contributing hands-on design work. You will shape UX strategy across Gartner’s products, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Brand, and Business stakeholders to deliver customer-centered experiences.

You will advance AI-enabled UX initiatives, mentor designers, and drive discovery, research, ideation, prototyping, and design reviews. This is a leadership role with hands-on contribution and strategic impact.

Qualifications

8+ years in UX, product design, interaction design, or related fields.
3+ years managing and developing UX or Product Design professionals.
Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX work including discovery, research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of UX professionals across products and experiences.
Define and execute UX strategy across key products and initiatives.
Balance hands-on UX work with people management and strategic leadership.
Set expectations for UX quality, process, collaboration, accessibility, and customer-centered decision-making.
Build AI-focused, human-centered UX culture and identify AI-enabled opportunities.
