Job summary

Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Sr. Director of AI to drive the enterprise AI program and scale adoption across divisions.

You will lead a cross-divisional AI network, partner with business unit leaders and the technology organization to identify high-value use cases and govern AI initiatives to deliver measurable business value. You will build internal AI capability, translate complex technical concepts into business terms, and ensure responsible deployment

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience including 5+ years in AI/ML.
• Director level or above with senior management experience.
• Hands-on experience architecting and scaling AI systems into production on major cloud platforms.
• Proven track record turning pilots into production platforms with measurable impact.
• Credible collaboration across business and IT functions.
• Program operating discipline and value tracking.
• Strong communication skills translating technical reality to business language.
• Leadership through influence across a matrixed org.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or asset-heavy industries.
• Experience building AI or data governance models in complex orgs.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-divisional network of AI leads, fostering collaboration and disciplined execution.
• Set mandate, rhythm, and accountability for AI leads across operations, finance, and technology.
• Build long-term internal AI capability by attracting and developing talent.
• Set enterprise AI priorities across predictive, agentic, generative, and simulation use cases.
• Collaborate with business units and IT to deliver high-quality AI solutions on time and budget.
• Own enterprise AI governance with processes, tools, data handling rules.
• Run a disciplined use-case pipeline converting ideas into platform wins.
• Stay hands-on with emerging AI models and tooling, testing what is buildable.
• Identify high-value transformation opportunities and redesign workflows around AI.
• Engage stakeholders and report in terms of dollars and hours, ensuring transparency.
