Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead complex program delivery across the Business Cards & Payments ecosystem. You will guide TPM discipline growth, align roadmaps with business outcomes, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.

You will influence senior leaders, design scalable operating models, and ensure measurable success across availability, cost, and developer velocity in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience with distributed computing or SOA.
• 3+ years building distributed systems and cloud-based services (AWS).
• 3+ years Agile delivery experience.
• Experience delivering large, cross-functional programs.
• Experience in highly regulated environments is a plus.
• MBA or Master’s in a related technical field preferred.
• PMP/Lean/Six Sigma certifications valued.
• Strong communication and executive stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to TPM/delivery strategy and operating mechanisms.
• Drive program roadmaps aligned to business goals and tech solutions.
• Lead cross-platform investment planning and architecture alignment.
