Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead major technical initiatives across Digital Commerce & Innovation. You will drive cross-functional delivery, align roadmaps with business goals, and shape the TPM discipline within the team.

You’ll partner with senior leaders to ensure architecture convergence, platform reuse, and measurable outcomes like availability and cost efficiency. This role requires strong communication and a track record of scaling TPM maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 7+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience with distributed computing or SOA is preferred.
• 3+ years in building distributed systems and cloud-based services (AWS preferred).
• 3+ years delivering large, cross-functional programs and Agile delivery.
• Experience in regulated environments and platform standardization.
• MBA/Master’s degree and project management certifications (PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma) are a plus.
• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and partner across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs delivering on critical business goals and scale platforms.
• Develop TPM strategy, operating models, and tooling across portfolios.
• Align program roadmaps with business objectives and architectural direction.
