Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery is seeking a strategic Director of Technical Training to design and lead its technical training programs across Electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation operations. The role focuses on standardizing onboarding, qualification, and refresher training to ensure safety, competency, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has deep ET&D domain knowledge, proven curriculum development expertise, and experience managing a team of training professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Workforce Development, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the ET&D industry.
• Proven leadership in curriculum development, qualification programs, and workforce competency management.
• Experience creating training for field personnel and technical procedures.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technical training strategy.
• Lead onboarding and qualification programs for field personnel.
• Create and maintain training materials and assessments.
• Manage training operations and coordinate with Operations.
• Provide reporting and analytics to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and safety in training.
