Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale high voltage utility projects. You will plan, scope, resource, and execute with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget success.

You will coordinate with clients, builders, and subcontractors to ensure program milestones are achieved on time and within contract terms. You will develop procedures to meet customer requirements, manage teams, and report progress to sponsors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with managing contracted work with Municipal and/or Investor Owned Utilities is required.
• Thorough understanding of utility industry practices/standards, operations, contract management with emphasis on power projects.
• Must be able to accurately process written documentation, perform duties in a timely manner, be highly organized, and interface with personnel at all levels.
• Extensive proficiency with Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Define and understand project scope.
• Manage subcontractor selection, notification and possible re-pricing.
• Schedule and execute project kick-off meetings with client and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage project schedule, ensuring achievement of critical milestone dates.
• Maintain and control assigned project budgets and margins.
• Responsible for subcontract invoice approval and client billing.
• Identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues and/or concerns.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and standards are met, or exceeded.
• Communicate and report project updates, metrics, and overall performance to Project Sponsors.
