Job summary

Dole Packaged Foods is seeking a Director, Accounting to join its Controllership team in Westlake Village, CA. The role leads technical accounting, accounting policy, financial reporting support, and close governance, partnering with the Controller on significant judgments and new standards implementation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience, 4+ years in leadership, Big Four preferred, SAP/BlackLine experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including technical accounting, financial reporting, policy or controllership functions.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred, including Manager/Senior Manager level roles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with SAP financial systems and BlackLine or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting, accounting policy, and complex transaction analysis.
• Oversee financial reporting, close governance, and disclosures.
• Coordinate audit activities and maintain internal controls.
