Job summary

Houston Community College (HCC) seeks a Director of Supplemental Instruction to lead and manage the SI program across the campus. You will recruit, train and supervise SI leaders, coordinate with academic departments and develop seminars to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field required.
• 5+ years combined experience teaching in a higher education institution with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and supervise SI leaders.
• Prepare outcome assessments and develop strategic plans.
• Create, implement and deliver seminars, workshops and other programs for staff, students and faculty.
• Communicate and collaborate with academic departments to design and improve offerings.
• Develop promotional materials and program communications using various media formats.
• Collect data and prepare analytical and statistical reports.
• Provide SI training before the start of each semester and ongoing coaching.
• Develop and maintain website content.
• Establish and revise policies and procedures for the programs.
• Report to the Executive Director on plans and progress involving persistence and completion.
• Manage calendars, timelines, meetings and space/equipment logistics.
• Gather and maintain administrative data and write monthly progress reports.
• Process data analytics for grants and reporting.
• Prepare and monitor administrative budgets and expenditures.
• Serve on College and District committees as appropriate.
• Liaise with District, State and Federal bodies regarding HCC programs.
• Participate in grant funds administration to achieve outcomes.
• Perform other duties as required.
