Job summary

UC Santa Cruz seeks an Associate Director within the Division of Student Affairs and Success to lead partnerships and programs that promote equitable outcomes for underrepresented and first-generation students.

The role coordinates with K–12, SAPEP schools, community colleges, and EPC partners to build guided pathways from pre-admission through matriculation, ensuring smooth transitions and strong student support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing initiatives that enhance equitable outcomes in higher education.
• Strong project management and collaboration across departments and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for student access and transition initiatives for underrepresented and first-generation students.
• Leads development of a comprehensive pre-college and transition strategy with K-12, community colleges, and partners.
• Collaborates with campus leadership to align access initiatives with enrollment and student success goals.
• Oversees outreach, partnership development, and transition programming for prospective and incoming students.
• Manages budget and resources to support program activities and sustainability.
• Assists with assessment, reporting, and data-informed decision making for program improvement.
