Job summary

University of California, Santa Cruz seeks an Assistant Director of Strategic Programs to design and manage division-wide programming that supports undergraduate retention and career outcomes in the Humanities Division.

In collaboration with the Director of Student Engagement and the Experiential Learning team, you will create career education content, build industry connections, and help students articulate the value of humanities training for professional pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Advanced knowledge in theoretical concepts of adult learning and career development.
• Knowledge of strategies to improve undergraduate career readiness and student success.
• Multicultural competencies and ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer division-wide programming to support humanities majors and minors.
• Collaborate with advisors, faculty, and staff to align programs with divisional goals.
• Cultivate partnerships with alumni, employers, and external entities for engagement.
• Create educational materials and e-learning content showcasing humanities value in careers.
• Analyze program data and prepare reports to inform leadership decisions.
