Role overview

Reporting to the CTO, the Director of Strategy and Technical Operations will be a key strategic and operational leader, ensuring the engineering organization operates efficiently and aligns with business goals. This role involves strategic planning, technical operations, release execution, internal communications, customer interaction, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive organizational rhythm, ensure alignment, and optimize execution across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CTO.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve execution across Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, and Support.
• Manage operational processes, including goal setting and OKRs, to foster continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective meetings such as leadership syncs, operational reviews, and all-hands sessions.
• Ensure alignment across engineering, product, and business functions.
• Monitor progress of key initiatives with a data-driven approach, providing key metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Communications, Talent Acquisition, and Business Operations teams for operational clarity.
• Track and measure OKRs for the engineering organization.
• Lead special projects to enhance team effectiveness and culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering operations, technical program management, or similar leadership roles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of working with senior leadership.
• Proven experience leading strategic and operational initiatives in technical organizations.
• Experience improving engineering efficiency in large, distributed teams.
• Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
