Role Overview

Reporting to the CTO, the Director of Strategy and Technical Operations will be a key strategic and operational leader. This role involves ensuring the engineering organization operates efficiently and aligns with business goals. Responsibilities include strategic planning, technical operations, release execution, internal communications, customer interaction, and cross-functional collaboration. You will drive operational rhythm, ensure organizational alignment, and optimize execution across teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CTO, providing insights and feedback.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve execution across Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, and Support, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage operational processes, including goal setting and OKRs, to foster continuous improvement.
• Facilitate effective meetings such as leadership syncs, operational reviews, and all-hands sessions.
• Act as a bridge across teams, ensuring alignment in strategy and execution.
• Monitor progress on key initiatives, ensuring accountability with data-driven metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Communications, Talent Acquisition, and Business Operations to ensure operational clarity and efficiency.
• Track and measure OKRs for the engineering organization.
• Lead special projects to enhance team effectiveness and culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering operations, technical program management, or similar leadership roles.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, effective with senior leadership.
• Proven success leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives in technical organizations.
• Experience improving engineering efficiency in large, distributed teams.
• Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
• Passion for fostering a high-performance engineering culture and enabling team growth.
