Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a senior administrator to lead or execute on special projects and strategic initiatives across the University, in close partnership with medical education deans and senior administrators. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible operations experience.
• Advanced knowledge of higher education processes, protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks and resolve issues.
• Strong data management and computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead or execute on special projects and strategic initiatives across the University in partnership with medical education deans.
• Develop and implement processes to support Learning Environment Committee (LEC) and Rapid Response Team (RRT); schedule meetings, prepare agendas, analytics and minutes; coordinate with presenters; track action items.
• Manage Learning Environment feedback, track Kudos/Concerns in Smartsheet, draft communications, monitor trends and prepare summary reports.
• Provide administrative leadership for Learning Environment initiatives, including event management for the LEC symposium and governance continuity.
• Coordinate accreditation, LCME activities, and institutional planning for College of Medicine projects; manage procurement, office moves, and space turnover.
