Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred), or equivalent combination of education and SPD/managerial experience.
• Five years' experience in Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room and management/leadership roles required.
• CRCST certification required through IAHCSMM.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, maintenance and control of SPD budget for supplies, expenses and inventory.
• Coordinates with administration and hospital departments to ensure efficient operations and distribution of supplies.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (JCAHO/NYSDOH) for sterile processing.
• Interviews, recruits, hires personnel; conducts performance appraisals; takes disciplinary actions as required.
