Job summary

You will oversee equipment maintenance, supplier relationships, and infection control programs, collaborating with hospital departments to optimize patient care through safe sterile processing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) or equivalent combination of education and SPD/managerial experience.
• Five years' experience in Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room and management/leadership roles.
• CRCST certification through IAHCSMM is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and control the SPD budget for supplies, expenses and inventory.
• Coordinate with administration and hospital departments to ensure efficient operations and distribution of supplies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with JCAHO/NYSDOH.
• Interview, recruit, and hire personnel; conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Develop, update and implement SPD policies and procedures.
• Maintain standards for decontamination, cleaning, sterilization and storage of supplies.
