Job summary

YMCA of the USA is seeking a Sports & Fitness Coordinator to program, manage, and implement a comprehensive portfolio of youth and adult sports leagues, fitness programs, and Summer Sports Camps under the supervision of the Executive Director.

The role emphasizes strong leadership to supervise staff and volunteers, with responsibilities for planning, development, administration, expansion, and evaluation of all sports, fitness, and camp services offered by the organization.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and highly organized with strong management/leadership ability.
• Expertise in program development, promotion and public relations.
• Communication in large group settings is essential.
• First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED Training, or ability to attain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in organizing, conducting, supervising, and evaluating programs and staff.
• Good verbal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Program, manage, and implement a comprehensive portfolio of youth and adult sports leagues, fitness programs, and Summer Sports Camps.
• Provide supervision and leadership to all staff and volunteers.
• Plan, develop, administer, expansion, and evaluation of all sports, fitness, and camp services offered by the organization.
• Oversee recruitment and training of staff and volunteers.
