Job summary

The Findlay YMCA is seeking a Sports Director to oversee day-to-day operation of its sports programs, including planning, promoting, creating and coordinating activities in line with YMCA policies. You will recruit and supervise staff, manage budgets, schedule facilities, and maintain accurate records.

You will collaborate with community groups to meet program needs and promote YMCA initiatives while representing the organization in a positive manner.

Qualifications

• Experience leading sports programs and supervising staff.
• Ability to schedule staff and manage records.
• Knowledge of program budgeting and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership to Sports, Judo, Gymnastics, Youth Development including hiring, training, supervising and evaluating staff and volunteers.
• Develop and implement new youth/adult/family program opportunities.
• Supervise safe and effective use of facilities and scheduling of gym and areas usage.
• Attend committee and staff meetings and maintain program records to inform budget strategy.
• Represent the YMCA in the community and participate in the Annual Support Campaign.
