Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an IEP Coordinator to align educational programs with Director and resource teams. You will mentor classroom staff, work across departments, and help onboard new staff to support students with special needs.

Responsibilities include recruiting support staff, coordinating IEPs, and ensuring compliance with ISBE standards while collaborating with families and districts to drive positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current SPED Teaching license.
• Experience in a school setting with similar population preferred.
• Experience coaching staff.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignments for SPED programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and Indicator 13 services.
• Maintain IEP database and student file scans.
• Prepare and attend students' IEP meetings with accurate documentation and ensure ISBE compliance.
• Plan and deliver staff and parent education related to SPED programs.
• Maintain relationships with school district, parents, and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
• Organize and deliver professional development and staff meetings.
• Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.
