Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineering Solutions company, seeks a Director of Construction to lead the Project Delivery team’s portfolio of utility-scale solar projects. The role allows remote work within the U.S. with 50% travel to project sites and office needs as required.

The ideal candidate brings strong project/construction management experience, team leadership, and stakeholder communication, with PBM framework experience a plus. This role is eligible for variable pay and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Construction leadership experience managing teams.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Proficient with project management software.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and cost control.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the execution of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring alignment with safety, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Provide strategic oversight and guidance on contracting strategy, subcontractor and self-perform execution models, schedule risk management, and proactive mitigation of critical path constraints to optimize portfolio performance.
• Lead and develop the team by applying PBM frameworks to deepen knowledge, strengthen understanding, and drive value creation, while mentoring and empowering direct reports.
• Drive operational and quality excellence by fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement while implementing robust quality standards.
• Drive financial stewardship and risk management by supporting budget development, monitoring project expenditures, mitigating operational risks, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure transparent and effective communication with leadership and stakeholders by providing regular updates on project performance, risks, challenges, and opportunities.
