Snap Inc invites a Director Software Engineering to lead a Product Engineering team. You will combine people leadership, product judgment and technical depth to build experiences that delight Snapchatters and deliver meaningful business impact.

You will shape the team’s vision and strategy, develop a high performing, inclusive organization, and partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and Operations to deliver reliable, scalable, privacy-conscious products in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience and 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience architecting distributed systems and product-scale services.
• Ability to connect technical choices to customer value and business outcomes.
• Experience mentoring and scaling engineering teams to deliver complex work.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and empower a product engineering team at scale.
• Set technical vision, strategy, and measurable goals aligned to priorities.
• Collaborate with Design, Data Science, Operations, and other engineers.
• Design, implement, and scale critical components across the stack.
• Drive execution across launches and long-term architecture initiatives.
• Ensure availability, scalability, privacy, security, and cost discipline.
• Provide direction influencing broader engineering orgs beyond the team.
• Hire, retain, and develop diverse engineers and leaders.
• Communicate priorities and outcomes with senior leaders and partners.
