Job summary

Snap Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead a product engineering team, shaping vision and strategy and delivering privacy-conscious, scalable products.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Product Design, Data Science, Operations, and other leaders, and drive execution from roadmap to delivery while recruiting top talent in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, math, statistics or equivalent.
• 10+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience or 9+ with a Master’s in technical field or 6+ with a PhD.
• 5+ years as engineering manager or technical leader including setting direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers.
• Set the technical vision, roadmap, and measurable goals for a product engineering area.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality experiences.
• Drive execution across initiatives from launches to long-term architectural investments.
