KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to provide strategic leadership for software engineering and solution architecture across enterprise digital products. You will set architectural standards, lead AI-enabled engineering practices, and partner with Product Management, Quality Engineering, Portfolio, and Infrastructure to deliver value for families and center staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing and developing teams of software engineers, both on- and off-shore.
Hands-on experience building software with modern AI development tools and AI tooling to improve throughput.
Experience delivering customer websites, applications, and services including payment solutions and financial transactional systems.

Responsibilities

Create a clear vision and strategy for KinderCare’s Software Engineering capability, with a maturity plan and timeline.
Lead the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions across multiple platforms.
Develop managers, engineers, architects, and cross-functional leaders across distributed teams.
Improve throughput through AI tooling and modern engineering practices.
Establish and govern the architectural direction and technical roadmap for software products.
