Job summary

Hidden Jobs seeks a senior engineering leader to direct a multi-team organization building commercial OT cybersecurity software. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the role leads at least four engineering managers and an organization of 35–50 people across frontend, backend, data and AI.

You will set AI-assisted engineering standards, guide architecture and testing, and partner with product leadership to staff cross-functional teams while driving technical debt reduction and onboarding

Qualifications

• Eight+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Experience leading an engineering organization of 20+ people across multiple teams.
• Strong technical background across frontend, data, networking and backend architectures.
• Demonstrated fluency with AI development tooling, including coding assistants, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted review and test generation.
• Cybersecurity experience at a product company shipping commercial software to external customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across executive updates, peer negotiation, and technical review.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering managers accountable for discipline-based communities.
• Provide technical guidance on software design, architecture, code quality, testing strategy, and reviews.
• Set the standard for AI-assisted engineering and define responsible use practices.
• Drive department-wide initiatives on standards, delivery practices, tooling, onboarding and technical debt reduction.
• Partner with product leadership to staff and support cross-functional product teams and balance capacity with roadmap commitments.
• Own long-term health of services and codebases, including operational readiness and support for deployed product.
