Job summary

Onit seeks a Director of Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations to lead the cybersecurity function across our AI-driven legal operations SaaS platforms and corporate infrastructure. You will translate cybersecurity strategy into architecture, engineering, and operations, collaborating with Cloud, IT, and Compliance to reduce risk while enabling secure product development.

The role requires 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years in leadership, deep AWS security expertise, and hands-on ability

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years in security leadership or management roles.
• Deep expertise securing cloud-native enterprise SaaS applications (AWS).
• Strong knowledge of security automation, scripting, and IaC guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the cybersecurity engineering and operations strategy with the VP, Compliance and Security.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of security controls and guardrails across AWS and corporate environments.
• Own technical security operations and incident response, including IR plans and playbooks.
• Own the vulnerability and exposure management program with risk-based remediation SLAs.
• Provide security leadership for Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments and for application and product security across the SDLC.
• Mentor and develop the cybersecurity team and manage external security vendors and services.
