Navitus Health Solutions seeks a Director of Software Development to lead the team responsible for modernizing legacy applications into optimized, scalable systems. You will drive Agile practices, build a growth-minded culture, and align software delivery with business goals from Lincoln, Nebraska.

You will mentor managers, set strategy for AI-enabled development, and ensure on-time, on-budget results while collaborating with product owners and enterprise partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Experience with cloud first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
• Experience using AI tools to improve delivery.
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience with automation testing frameworks and performance testing.
• Experience applying agile methodologies.
• Ability to interact cooperatively with others and support compliance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development and deliver quality results for the organization.
• Provide leadership and direction for the software development team.
• Evolve legacy applications into modern, supportable applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and PMO.
• Build strong relationships with application business owners to meet customer needs.
• Develop and maintain an accountable department delivering high-quality code.
• Stay current with modern software development technology including AI to evolve strategy.
• Communicate progress and status of development teams to stakeholders.
• Establish and deliver KPIs and metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
