Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead the software development organization and guide legacy systems into modern, maintainable solutions. The role emphasizes Agile practices and delivering a superior customer experience, with on-time and within-budget results.

The ideal candidate will have extensive IT leadership experience, strong collaboration with Product Owners, and a track record of delivering high-quality software across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Experience with cloud first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
• Experience using Artificial Intelligence tools to improve delivery.
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.
• Experience with developing automation testing frameworks and performance testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
• Foster people leadership, hiring, and performance mentoring.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and PMO.
• Build relationships with business owners to deliver software meeting needs.
• Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development.
• Develop and maintain an accountable department delivering high-quality code.
• Stay current with modern software development tech, including AI, to evolve strategy.
• Establish and deliver KPIs and metrics for performance management.
• Communicate progress to diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned.
