Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead modernization of legacy applications into scalable, maintainable software. You will guide a team of managers, drive Agile practices across the organization, and partner with Product Owners and cross-functional leaders to deliver quality software on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes cloud-first architecture, AI-powered tooling to improve efficiency, and strong governance with KPI-driven performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience, required.
• 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams, required.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Experience with cloud-first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
• Experience using AI tools to improve development efficiency and accuracy.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience managing and applying agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for software development and delivery of high-quality results.
• Lead a team of managers responsible for software development and modernizing legacy applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders across Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and PMO.
• Ensure software meets internal and external customer needs through strong stakeholder relationships.
• Establish and track KPIs/metrics to manage performance of development teams.
