Job summary

Villa Mesa Care Center in California is seeking a dedicated Social Services Director to lead the department and ensure compassionate, compliant care for residents. Qualifications

• Requires 2-3 years’ related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• License/certification as social worker as required by state law.
• Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with residents, families, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Directs the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with federal, state, local standards and company policies.
• Assess residents upon admission, quarterly and on condition changes for social service needs.
• Coordinate referrals and services ensuring appropriate mental health interventions when needed.
• Ensure HIPAA confidentiality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Lead training and orientation for staff and participate in committees as required.
