Job summary

MGM Resorts International, National Harbor, MD, seeks a Director of Security Operations to lead the security department and maximize safety for employees and guests. You will direct staffing, training, incident response, and compliance while influencing property-wide profitability.

The role requires 4+ years in security management, leadership in a resort setting, and strong decision-making skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus, with a focus on deescalation and proactive security leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of security management experience.
• Leadership experience in a resort/gaming setting.
• Bilingual is preferred.
• Ability to deescalate situations.

Responsibilities

• Directs the day-to-day security operations to include staffing, training, event management, incident response, and administration.
• Evaluate ongoing security operations training to include procedures, investigations, emergency procedures, management, fire and life safety training, and guest service.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws and communicate changes to property and security operations.
• Oversee patrols and security programs (e.g., Lost and Found) and monitor property areas to enforce preventative measures.
• Assist with threat identification, intelligence gathering and analysis at property level; assess incident impacts on company, employees, customers, and facilities.
• Build and develop teams through recruiting, training, coaching, performance reviews and development programs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop short- and long-term solutions for guest experiences.
