Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks an experienced Director of Operations to lead armed security for multiple US government facilities, ensuring compliance with DOE orders and contract requirements. The role requires active oversight of staffing, training, and safety, with a focus on high standards of conduct and readiness metrics.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in security management and at least 8 years in security leadership, including large workforce supervision and DOE Q or equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in security management or related field.
• 8+ years of security, government, or commercial experience in a management role.
• Experience supervising a workforce of 200+ personnel under a collective bargaining agreement.
• DOE Q access or eligibility requirements; federal clearance background.
• Ability to develop security plans, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and direct armed security guard operations and training.
• Oversee guard force operations to ensure safety and compliance with DOE orders and contracts.
• Manage quality, reporting, and inspections to address performance issues.
• Plan and evaluate guard force operations; ensure qualified, cleared personnel.
• Collaborate with government personnel to meet mission requirements.
