Job summary

SOC LLC is seeking an experienced Facility Commander to supervise and lead the armed protective force at a designated facility in accordance with DOE Orders, standards, and contract requirements. The role ensures post orders and procedures support a secure mission at DOE facilities.

The position requires a DOE Q access or equivalent clearance, with on-site work in the Washington DC area or Germantown, MD. Strong scheduling, leadership, and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of forecasting and planning staffing/scheduling SPO workforce across multiple sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer.
• Knowledge of DOE Security Police Officer training requirements per DOE Order 473.3.
• Ability to develop security plans, post orders, and procedures.
• Ability to organize and direct work across facility captains and shift supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise, and direct armed security guard operations and training daily.
• Onsite supervision of guard force and training per DOE Order 473.3 and regulations.
• Ensure SPO personnel follow all post and general orders; manage safety and performance issues.
• Assist Director of Operations to plan, manage, schedule, and evaluate guard operations.
• Ensure staffing at multiple sites with qualified, cleared personnel.
