Job summary

Fairmont San Francisco is seeking a seasoned Security Leader to oversee the hotel's security program, lead the Hotel Emergency and Action Team, and ensure the safety of guests, colleagues, and property on Nob Hill.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will implement loss prevention policies, coordinate with local authorities, supervise the Security Team, and manage daily security reporting while balancing guest service with risk controls.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a similar role is required.
• Computer literacy with Windows applications is required.
• CPR First Aid certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essential.
• Highly responsible and reliable; able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Operations,responsibilitiesand essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional,friendlyand engaging service
• Ensure the safety, security and loss control policies and procedures are compiled within the hotel
• Provide direction and leadership to theHEAT(Hotel Emergency and Action Team) and if needed, calls for the evacuation of people and staff from areas affected by fire, flood, bombthreatsor civil disturbance
• Maintain visible image of management at all times
• Act as a liaison within the community and policing forces tomaintainawareness of current security issues
• Complete daily Security reports
• Oversee property’s Health and Safety Committee
• Direct response to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical
• Be knowledgeable in the use of all security equipment,i.e.radios, cameras, electronic lock systems and report any safety, security and/or fire hazards or violations
• Supervise and train all SecurityTeam
• Perform lock audits asrequiredandassistinmaintainingkey control
• Manage the departmental budget
• Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
• Assistguestsregardinghotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Assistemployees and guests and otherwise be present on the floor
• Follow department policies,proceduresand service standards
• Follow all safety policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Previousleadership experience in a similar rolerequired
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windowapplications required
• Certification in CPR First Aidrequired
• Strong interpersonal andproblem solvingabilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in afast pacedenvironment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs,remainingcalm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Seated computer work, including constant keyboarding andmousing
• Occasionallifting upto 25lbs

Additional Information

Salary Range: $114,700 to $137,700 Annual
