Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations, a senior enterprise role guiding operational excellence across multiple Connections Academy schools. You will coach principals and school leaders, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize systems at scale to support student success.

The role requires leading leaders, coordinating with the SSP, ensuring enrollment readiness, and driving operational change as Pearson expands.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years proven leadership experience as a Principal or equivalent level.
• Advanced degree in Education or Management is required.
• Virtual school leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong communications skills and relationship-building ability.
• Data-driven and results-focused with the ability to influence across levels.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational execution across multiple schools and leadership teams.
• Coach principals and school leaders to improve performance and stability.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, contracts, and charter/SOA requirements.
• Drive enrollment readiness and operational scalability across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners (SSP, boards).
• Conduct performance evaluations and drive leadership development.
• Support succession planning and strategic staffing across schools.
• Monitor operational health and intervene to mitigate risks.
