Job summary

Middleborough Public Schools is seeking a district-wide Director of Food Services to administer and manage a nutritious, self-sustaining school meals program.

The role reports to the Superintendent through the Director of Business and Finance and covers 204 days per year with duties across program administration, menu planning, financial management, and personnel leadership to ensure compliance with USDA NSLP/SBP and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing NSLP/SBP programs and compliance.
• Ability to coordinate with town departments and vendors.
• Demonstrated budget and personnel management.

Responsibilities

• Administer NSLP/SBP and annual Summer Food Service Program applications.
• Prepare monthly financial claims and reports for DESE.
• Lead hiring, training, and performance evaluations of food service staff.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
