We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and strategically driven individual to lead the Sales & Marketing efforts at Equinox Resort, a landmark luxury destination in the heart of Vermont. With its historic charm, breathtaking natural setting, and elevated guest experiences, the Equinox offers a unique opportunity for a sales leader who thrives in an independent, hands-on environment and values community, authenticity, and exceptional service.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading the Sales and Marketing efforts at a resort property, including team leadership, strategic planning, and multi-channel campaign execution. This leader will be creative, adaptable, and data-driven, with the ability to motivate and mentor a seasoned Sales, Marketing, and Conference Services team. A strong understanding of luxury travel trends, digital engagement, and guest experience design is essential.

Job Description

  • Manage and achieve team goals for both Group and Transient segments across Business Travel, Leisure, and Events.

  • Develop and drive cohesive sales and marketing strategies, including exceptional marketing plans, content calendars, and targeted campaigns.

  • Oversee the resort’s digital strategy — optimizing paid media, SEO/SEM, social, and website performance to increase bookings and brand visibility.

  • Create compelling on-property promotions and signature programming in collaboration with operations and guest experience teams.

  • Partner with PR and creative agencies to amplify special events, seasonal campaigns, and media exposure aligned with the resort’s luxury positioning.

  • Analyze industry trends, STR data, and market intelligence to uncover new opportunities and protect market share.

  • Play an active role in direct sales — managing key accounts, leading site visits, and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Represent the Equinox brand at local and national sales trips, trade shows, and tourism partnerships.

  • Lead the development of the resort’s annual sales, marketing, and revenue management business plans.

  • Collaborate with revenue management to develop yield strategies that meet budget, forecast, and growth targets.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the Sales, Marketing, and Conference Services departments.

  • Enhance community presence through active engagement in local organizations, chambers, and tourism boards.



Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level resort sales and marketing role; independent and luxury resort experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team to meet and exceed business goals.
  • Deep expertise in sales strategy, revenue optimization, digital marketing, brand development, and team leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and drive results across multiple segments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel; Delphi experience highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — with clients, internal teams, and ownership stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality, community connection, and luxury guest experiences.
  • Up to 10% travel required

The compensation for this position is $120,000.00/Yr. - $130,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
