A leading company in the hospitality sector is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to spearhead strategic initiatives across amusement park properties. The role involves overseeing all marketing and sales functions, driving attendance, and maximizing revenue. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales and marketing management, and will be responsible for developing impactful campaigns and leading a high-performing team.
Location: Boonton, NJ (Hybrid) | Regular travel to Brooklyn, NY
Pay: $140k–$160k + bonus
Role Overview
We’re looking for a visionary Director of Sales and Marketing to lead strategic sales initiatives and drive marketing innovation across our amusement park properties. This leader will oversee all marketing and sales functions, with a focus on increasing attendance, maximizing revenue, and shaping the public perception of our brands.
The Director will develop high-impact campaigns, lead a cross-functional team, and implement data-driven programs that fuel long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute innovative sales programs and comprehensive marketing plans that exceed attendance and revenue targets
Drive strategic planning across marketing and sales, providing insight on market trends, pricing strategies, and guest behavior
Oversee departmental goals, budgets, and performance, ensuring alignment with company objectives and ROI expectations
Champion company branding, aligning all initiatives with organizational values and voice
Continuously research and implement new tools, platforms, and solutions that enhance department capabilities
Sales & Business Development
Lead the creation and execution of sales campaigns and promotional strategies to boost ticket sales and park attendance
Support business development by analyzing market data, identifying growth opportunities, and developing forecasting models
Collaborate with leadership to support revenue planning and partnership opportunities
Present performance reports and recommend course corrections as needed to meet sales targets
Marketing Execution & Campaign Management
Manage all marketing functions including advertising, social media, digital content, public relations, email campaigns, and collateral development
Ensure consistent messaging and brand presence across all consumer touchpoints
Coordinate promotional timelines and monitor the performance of marketing channels and spend
Lead external vendor relationships and media buying efforts
Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead, train, and coach a high-performing sales and marketing team
Provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members
Ensure close collaboration with operations, events, and executive teams to execute campaigns seamlessly
Manage team scheduling, productivity, and labor budgets
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
10+ years of experience in sales and marketing management, preferably in hospitality, events, or entertainment industries
Proven track record of leading successful marketing and sales programs that drive measurable results
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
Strong business acumen with data analysis skills to inform strategy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Google Ads, Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, WordPress, and marketing automation platforms
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal business environment
Flexibility to work weekends and travel to park locations and special events throughout the year
Additional Information
This role is based at CAI’s Corporate Offices in Boonton, NJ, with a hybrid work schedule in the off-season (January–February) and on-site presence required from March to December
Regular travel to Luna Park in Coney Island is required weekly from mid-March through October
Physical presence is expected for major events, including park openings, holidays, and key promotional days
