Job description

As a Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with both new and existing clients. Your expertise will help secure contracts that meet or exceed sales quotas and targets. You’ll also provide valuable insights to our sales management team, contributing to the enhancement of our sales strategies and the strengthening of our brand reputation. Your in-depth domain knowledge will enable you to engage in meaningful conversations with prospects, positioning you as a trusted advisor.

What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications/Experience

  • Exposure to selling technology related platforms, products, and/or services
  • Minimum of 5 years in the insurance sector
  • Demonstrated history interacting at C-Suite level
  • Established sales cycle experience: from hunting and lead generation to initial customer engagement to signed contract
  • Proficient in various customer engagement methods, including cold calls, email outreach, social media, face-to-face meetings, conference attendance, and networking
  • Pre-existing rolodex of TPA’s, MGA’s, Brokers is highly desirable

Personal Qualifications/Experience

  • Excellent command of the English language, written & verbal
  • US Citizen or Right to Work in USA
  • Self-starter with leadership aspirations and a growth-oriented mindset
  • Ability to draft and deliver persuasive proposals
  • Skilled in developing and executing territory and key account plans
  • Consistent in reporting sales activity and collaborating with marketing for lead generation campaigns
  • Ability to work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous experience with InsurTech, IT Services Solution Provider or Consultancy
  • Experience selling into MGA’s / TPA’s / Broker’s, Insurance Carriers
  • Background in engineering and/or IT, paired with business development experience
  • Familiarity with the employee benefits sales process and technology interfaces.
  • Experience in public speaking and presenting at industry conferences

Location

This role is based out of the Milliman office in Tampa, Florida, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.

Compensation

The salary range is $98,000 - $198,000 depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, commission scale, etc. In addition to the base salary, we offer a significant performance-based commission plan, profit sharing, and generous benefits.
