About The Role
Our client, an industry-leading manufacturer, is seeking a
Director of Sales to drive profitable growth and lead a high-performing, customer-focused sales organization. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee inside sales, outside sales, and support functions, working closely with cross-functional teams to expand market presence and enhance customer relationships.
The position is
remote-based in the Southeastern U.S. and will require regular travel to support customers, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and lead field initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute sales strategies in alignment with company goals and revenue targets.
- Lead and develop managers across inside sales, key accounts, and support teams.
- Manage performance across all sales channels, including key and legacy accounts.
- Set and track KPIs, coach for performance, and ensure execution against sales goals.
- Leverage Salesforce to drive forecasting, reporting, and performance visibility.
- Champion customer satisfaction, resolving escalated issues and driving NPS improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to align go-to-market strategy.
- Standardize processes to improve quoting speed, territory management, and account coverage.
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of sales experience, with 3–5 years in a sales leadership role.
- Strong coaching and team development skills.
- Experience managing multi-channel sales teams and support functions.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute at a high level.
- Data-driven decision-maker; skilled in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfortable with regular travel (estimated 50–70% depending on the season).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Performance Measures
- Achievement of annual revenue and strategic growth targets.
- Team engagement and accountability scores >90%.
- Customer satisfaction (NPS) improvement of 10% YoY.
- 20% reduction in quote turnaround time within the first year.
