POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Arcadia Cold is seeking a highly motivated, energetic Sales Director to initiate contact with potential customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company’s products and services, and identify sales opportunities (“Sales Hunter”). They must clearly and convincingly articulate the organization’s offerings and value proposition and overcome initial resistance from prospects to achieve facility and company revenue and EBITDA targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
• Work with facility General Managers to develop targeted action plans to generate new sales leads and prospects.
• Develop local and regional relationships with customers and related parties, demonstrating a strong customer focus.
• Partner with operations and other sales team members to understand and sell a suite of services across the Arcadia network.
• Develop and maintain pricing, sales, and activity reports to meet and achieve company sales margin objectives.
• Create and deliver presentations and responses to requests for proposals to identify and resolve prospective customer’s business challenges.
• Collaborate with Arcadia’s Solutions Implementation team to onboard new customer accounts successfully.
• Maintain awareness of performance against key performance indicators and provide sales updates to management.
• Manage budget and control expenses to ensure compliance with targets and guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of supply chain/distribution sales experience.
• Experience in supplier relationship management, including prospecting, selling, and closing new business.
• Experience in cold storage, warehousing, or related industry preferred.
• Responsive problem-solving and action-oriented mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated, adaptable, and positive attitude.
• Hands-on experience using a CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com).
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
