Gainsborough Waste/Texas Outhouse are based in Houston Texas and specialize in Roll-off Dumpsters, Compactors, Non-Hazardous Environmental Services, Portable Toilets, Restroom Trailers, Handwashing & Sanitization stations and Hauling & Miscellaneous.

The Position:

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the waste management industry. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and analyzing market trends to stay competitive. You will cultivate strong client relationships, represent the company at industry events, and collaborate with brokers to generate leads. As a leader, you will manage and coach the sales team, ensuring targets are met while working cross-functionally with other departments. Staying informed on industry regulations and advancements will be key to shaping innovative sales strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities, including expanding market share, penetrating new markets, and diversifying service offerings.
  • Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to track progress and evaluate effectiveness of sales efforts.
  • Leads and manages the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and attainment of targets.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the sales team, fostering creativity and adaptability to meet evolving market demands.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to enhance business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Represents the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Maintains positive relationships with Brokers to ensure continued relationships and cultivate business opportunities.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Sales role required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Manager role required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.
  • Experience within the waste management industry or related fields (such as environmental services, recycling, or utilities) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of winning new business, retaining key accounts, and driving revenue growth within previous roles.
  • Experience managing and developing sales teams, providing coaching, training, and guidance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic sales plans aligned with overall business objectives.
