Are you passionate about art and driven by sales? Off Piste Fine Arts, a distinguished fine arts company, is seeking a charismatic and motivated Director of Sales to join our dynamic team. We represent an elite portfolio of Canadian and International artists and are looking for someone who can combine their love for art with exceptional sales skills to help us connect clients with their perfect pieces. As a Director of Sales, you’ll immerse yourself in a dynamic and ever-evolving gallery environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with art enthusiasts and high-net-worth (HNW) collectors, providing personalized guidance and building lasting relationships. You’ll work closely with a small, passionate team and gain hands‑on experience in all facets of gallery operations. This is a high‑touch, relationship‑driven sales role where success comes from proactive client engagement, consistent follow‑up, and confidently guiding clients toward meaningful purchases.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sales Expertise: Use your inbound and outbound sales expertise to meet and exceed targets, creating meaningful connections with clients.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, helping clients discover and purchase art that resonates with them. Your ability to build rapport and put clients at ease will be crucial.
  • Negotiation and Leadership: Utilize your negotiating skills and leadership qualities to guide clients through the buying process, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience.
  • Client Acquisition: Actively seek out new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones, employing creative and engaging communication strategies.
  • Innovative Solutions: Provide innovative solutions to customer challenges, demonstrating a keen sense of urgency and focus on bringing sales to a successful close.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members on administrative tasks, coordinate gallery shipments, manage customs documentation, and oversee transportation logistics.
  • Flexibility: Be ready to work evenings and weekends, embracing the dynamic nature of the gallery scene.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Sales Background: A background in sales, especially within the art, luxury, or high-end retail sectors, will be highly advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Apps, Mac OS X, MS Office, and basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop).
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a talent for engaging and captivating an audience.
  • Art Passion: A genuine interest in art and the ability to convey your passion to others.
  • Proactive Attitude: A proactive, can‑do attitude with a knack for thriving in fast‑paced environments.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions.
COMPENSATION:

$25 – $65/hr
