Job summary

Hinterland Group in the United States seeks a Director of Safety and Risk Mitigation to lead enterprise-wide safety, regulatory compliance, and loss prevention as the company expands across Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Reporting to the COO, you will own strategy, systems, and culture for proactive risk management on project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field.
• OSHA 500-Hour Construction Certification preferred.
• CSP/CHST/CHSO or COSM required, ARM/CRIS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve safety and risk strategy across multi-state operations.
• Lead safety team, set performance standards, and manage budget.
• Ensure OSHA compliance across FL/NC/SC and audit subcontractor safety programs.
• Oversee incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Legal, HR, and Fleet on claims, onboarding, and safety training.
