Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Director of Risk Management to oversee North America’s business insurance program and safety compliance across the organization. You will lead claims management, broker relations, and policy renewal activities, while guiding field training on safety and drug-free workplace initiatives.

The role requires extensive risk management experience, leadership ability, and a background in hospitality or retail environments.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in risk management or related field.
• Three+ years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage company insurance policies (Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, etc.) and broker relationships.
• Direct annual renewal activities with state payroll data and location metrics.
• Develop and revise safety policies; train field on safety programs and Drug Free Workplace.
• Lead risk management initiatives and crisis management collaboration across departments.
• Review contracts for insurance requirements and ensure coverage compliance.
