Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a safety-related/construction role; utility, electrical line construction, or construction environments preferred
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
• OSHA regulations knowledge; OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel between job sites
• Onsite work requirement

Responsibilities

• Direct development, delivery, and implementation of workforce safety and loss prevention programs across all departments ensuring regulatory compliance
• Develop and oversee emergency response plans, drills, and site coordination for workforce readiness
• Coordinate reporting of workplace injuries/incidents including OSHA 300 logs and Workers' Compensation support
• Oversee job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and proactive mitigation strategies
• Manage the Company Safety Manual and staff training/acknowledgment
• Lead the Company safety committee and drive continuous safety improvement initiatives
• Oversee FMCSA/MDOT CDL compliance and other mandated safe-driving requirements
• Establish incident/near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions and follow-up
• Track and report key safety metrics and recommend improvements to leadership
• Ensure availability, maintenance, and proper selection of safety equipment and PPE
• Manage safety department staff, budgets, and performance aligned with company goals
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and management on staffing, training, facility safety and contractor compliance
• Perform other safety and operational support duties as assigned
