Job summary

Mandarin Oriental New York is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead the Rooms Division and drive guest service excellence in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and related departments, shaping strategy, staffing, and budgeting while developing managers and ensuring flawless guest experiences across all touchpoints.

You will collaborate with Finance and Operations to optimize revenue, service standards, and daily operations, upholding MOHG's legendary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a department head position in the rooms department, ideally at a luxury property.
• Excellent knowledge of both housekeeping and front office.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and develop managers and staff.
• Proficient computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; problem solver with high interaction levels.
• High stamina, agility and discretion at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation and long-term planning of the Rooms Division and related departments.
• Ensure smooth guest services across front office, housekeeping, concierge, and related areas.
• Lead, coach, and develop Rooms Division managers and colleagues.
• Plan schedules, monitor budgets, and drive revenue and productivity goals.
• Collaborate with Finance for payroll, expenses, and month-end reporting.
• Act as Manager on Duty for incidents and guest concerns, resolving issues promptly.
