Job summary

Mandarin Oriental New York seeks a Food and Beverage Manager to lead the FOH team in the New York City property. You will manage service staff, oversee reservations and seating, and drive guest satisfaction across MO Lounge and IRD.

Responsibilities include staff training, event coordination, and adherence to MOQA, Forbes, LQA standards, while upholding safety and brand guidelines. Strong English communication and supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in proper English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Proficient with email and word processing.
• Navigate POS systems with ease.
• Experience in restaurant service with supervisory responsibility (5+ years, 3+ in supervision).

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize service staff in the FOH to ensure seamless dining experiences.
• Lead pre-service meetings to communicate reservations, dietary restrictions, and daily service expectations.
• Develop and manage marketing activities for F&B as directed by Directors.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and FOH internal controls.
• Train new hires and run ongoing staff education programs.
• Coordinate private events and ensure high service standards across MO Lounge and IRD teams.
• Ensure alcohol safety regulations are followed and uphold brand standards.
• Greet guests, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and foster guest loyalty.
