The role requires a nursing background with NM RN licensure, 5+ years of nursing experience including 3+ years in a director/manager capacity, and familiarity with healthcare risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• NM RN license is required.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with at least 3 years in a director/manager role.
• Experience in healthcare risk management.
• CPHRM certification preferred or required within three years.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management program and mitigation efforts.
• Collaborate with leadership, clinicians, and staff on risk solutions.
• Manage investigations, interviews, and legal documentation related to litigation.
• Provide risk management training and incident reporting guidance.
• Advise on informed consent, documentation standards, and disclosure practices.
• Oversee professional and general liability and property insurance policies.
• Serve as the Compliance and Ethics Officer for the facility.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Risk Management. This senior-level role is pivotal in steering the hospital's risk management strategies and ensuring the organization's compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management program, focusing on risk identification, avoidance, and mitigation.
• Collaborate with leadership, healthcare providers, and staff to implement effective risk management solutions.
• Manage litigation‑related activities including investigations, interviews, and legal documentation.
• Provide training on risk management processes and incident reporting to hospital personnel.
• Offer expert consultation on informed consent, documentation standards, and disclosure practices.
• Oversee insurance policies related to professional liability, general liability, and property claims.
• Serve as the facility's Compliance and Ethics Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• NM RN license is required.
