Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school.
• NM RN license required.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with at least 3 years in director/manager role.
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare risk management.
• CPHRM certification is a plus and must be obtained within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall risk management program focusing on identification, avoidance, and mitigation.
• Collaborate with leadership, healthcare providers, and staff to implement risk management solutions.
• Manage litigation-related activities including investigations, interviews, and documentation.
• Provide training on risk management processes and incident reporting to hospital personnel.
• Offer expert consultation on informed consent, documentation standards, and disclosure practices.
• Oversee insurance policies related to professional liability, general liability, and property claims.
• Serve as the facility’s Compliance and Ethics Officer.
