Job summary

Regency Centers is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the corporate office in Jacksonville, FL. This hybrid role requires 3 days in-office and 2 remote days after training, guiding Property, Liability and Executive Lines, plus its captive program.

You will manage a team of three, partner with Finance, Real Estate Accounting, and Legal, and drive data‑driven risk strategies, loss control, and cost optimization across 500 shopping centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience in risk management and insurance
• Bachelor's degree required; graduate education preferred
• Strong understanding of insurance policy language and financial terms related to risk
• Experience with risk management information systems and data analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and SharePoint
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage insurance program design for Property, Liability, and Executive lines
• Oversee the captive insurance subsidiary strategy and management
• Lead claims strategy and management with internal teams, TPAs and counsel
• Direct and develop the Risk Management team for productivity and growth
• Analyze claims data to identify trends and cost drivers; implement loss-control initiatives
• Advise on tenant lease, financing, and vendor contracts to optimize insurance terms
• Manage risk management information systems and data governance
