Job summary

Charles Schwab is hiring a Senior Manager of Retail Supervision & Risk Management to lead 1LOD model supervision, risk assessments, and regulatory alignment. You will partner with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Product to design scalable controls and guardrails for AI/ML driven processes, ensuring adherence to Reg BI and fiduciary standards.

Qualifications

• Translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls and guardrails.
• Prioritize high-impact risks and apply proportionate controls.
• Understand AI/ML concepts, limitations and risk implications.
• Build scalable, defensible supervision frameworks and processes.
• Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders and present risk decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central supervisory authority for retail and enterprise models influencing interactions and activity.
• Evaluate AI/analytical models for regulatory, client, and operational risks; participate in supervision SME groups.
• Collaborate with Product to develop/refine guardrails, evaluations, thresholds and escalation protocols.
• Create and maintain a model supervision framework, including risk tiering, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
• Partner with Compliance to ensure audit readiness, with documentation and rationales for supervisory approaches.
